I would plant by the wayside
a basket,
of sunshine, and fortune, and rain,
deep as the wise man suggested,
to pave a way into the pain.
*
Please see the depth in the mirror
hold in your breath at the start
let it out slowly for minds sake
but gratitude stems from the heart.
*
Choices were laid out before us
and the choice was to lay down and die
we can't stand to look in the mirror
when fortitude deepens the cry.
*
Certain as much as he stated,
we'd cry a long time before dawn,
passages spoken of sooner,
were no longer laid on the lawn.
*
Creeping our way we surrender,
not knowing to what or to why,
no longer neading the mirror,
the sunshine has opened our eye.
*
Our voices kissed secrets long waiting,
turning them into a song,
And then the voice shattered like diamonds,
turning over the old and the long.
*
Everything shattered like diamonds,
everything into a song,
all that was right didn't matter,
and all that was wrong went along.
*
Everything shattered like diamonds,
all things entered a song,
everything went with the sunshine,
all that was right and was wrong...
