There's a lonely dark Island

where memories stray.

An eternal junction where

emotions sway.

I drift by and by

I wonder why

as I feel for the beast and can not lie

I drift by and by and sometimes cry.

In the place where I stand

where memories stray,

and pulsing within

is an emotional bay,

so I swing and I sway-

and I swing and I sway.

I come from within

to sing you a song

I wish for my voice

it shouldn't be long

Sometimes I wonder will I ever find my own voice and then I hear it singing out loud in my own head.

I love your term: "emotional bay". I wonder if each memory, good or bad, creates its own emotional bay.

Ya, I think that our attractor feilds pull to us and kinda sway with emotions at times? and then the negative ones form an emotional blockage like until you can breath it loose?
so I am not too good at explaining things I think LOL!!!!!
I think I read too much LOL LOL LOL!!!!!!! well some things just aren't easy to speak of, so that is good that we can relate in other terms through our writing.... it's cool huh?

Thankyou devilrod, yes sometimes the struggle within wins for a time...maybe because we choose not to deal with it? Do we sometimes see it as a darkness that is overwhelming? I don't know. but yes I always stay optimistic cause I know pain is not truth, it's only that there is difficulty seeing or finding truth at times you know? usually I suffer from the 'I feel too good' syndrome LOL! well life is good and so I am pleased to share in some the pain that comes my way I guess? LOL! thankyou baby (smile)

Yet another wonderful piece. Amazing how emotions are unpredictable as the tide or ocean.Wondering which it shall be. One minute calm and another rash.
I loved the first couple lines.

"There's a lonely dark Island

where memories stray.

An eternal junction where

emotions sway."

so true to life for all of us.I understand what you mean throughout this piece yet putting it in my own words would probably twist it up. so I wont try to define it. I'll let it stand alone in the beauty it is.
