STILL WATERS DO RUN DEEP

the water runs sufficiently,

into the course it takes.

though sometimes currents change thier paths

because of damns or breaks.

a broken current wants to mend,

a mind then needs to bend.

sometimes currents turn to sludge,

disaster is at stake,

for who gets by when life it seems,

is like a muddy lake?

if one listens closely,

and goes inside the self,

feeling past the beating heart,

to find a store of wealth;

deep within the comfort lies,

it does not make a peep;

as we've been told so many times,

'still waters do run deep'
