***

The stars disguise the darkness

and the discomfort deep inside.

It could almost make me forget the

loneliness I hide.

*

The night could bring me silence

and the stillness

of vast presence.

though withheld is the silent song

in the search that was broken,

mourning and aching

for truer words to be

spoken. ~

Although none will do

*

The mind does not hold the key

or the richness of melody.

it is only from NO-MIND

you see?

*

I linger and hunger

in want and despair

in search for a time

that's not even there?

*

if I new the half of anything at all

I let you all in;

I'd give you a call.

as it is I know nothing

yes this is true;

as I am as I am and I haven't a clue!

LOL, ya I think the closer I get the more far away it seems LOL...I'm always reading and trying to be aware of the small ego vs the higher one you know? but truth is after all this time I'm still a bunch of jumbled up silliness LOL!!!!!
Juliet, I think we hang on to our pain because we identify with it so much, it's so much apart of who we believe we are you know? well it's good to hear from you, it's been a while with all these changes and stuff huh? my computer was so slow it wasn't worth even trying to do anything LOL. it would take a year to get from one page to another LOL.....
A Very Happy Easter Day to you and yours Juliet (SMILES) peace and love, katie

I don't have a clue either.
That's OK, I guess.
That's what we're here for right?
I think you know more than you're letting on though..

LOL!!!!! you see now that makes me feel good; "we're all clueless" LOl! well yes that's what we're here for 'to learn' Life itself 'the big teacher'

LOL; you are right, I do know more than I let on, but it still don't help LOL!!! I think there is something I need closer with, but don't know exactly how to get it you know?

(smiles) thankyou Hoodling

I love the stars! They're so vast and so far away... yet when I look at them there's a presence of another world... it seems. I love how this poem speaks of them! The rhymes are really good too! I like the ending line, "as I am as I am and I haven't a clue!"

Were you listening to Enya as you wrote this?^_^.

Lot's of special chocolate bunnies to you (not real bunnies),

Ghiradelli Girl.

Oh YES! 'another world' out of which they came I suppose.
No I was not listening to Enya, really what inspired this besides for the inner feelings was Lionheats poems, you know the ones he just wrote 'the series' and there was one about the stars. well I can't remember the name off hand, but I think you seen it though....

chocolate bunnies??? OH BOY!!! (SMILES)!!!!!!!!! LOL!

Another winner, Katie.

"It could almost make me forget the
loneliness I hide."

WOW... this line really speaks volumes, Katie. It tells me that sometimes, even with family and friends surrounding us, we still feel the need to "hide the lonliness" for whatever reasons. ((This may have inspired a poem from me!!!))

A touching, soul stirring read. Thanks for some new found inspiration!.......Jerry

Yes, isn't it funny sometimes, 'that longing inside' the um uneasiness that sits in the backgroung as if something may or may happen...or is it that we so much wish it too? i do not know?

OH GOOD I am so glad it inspired you...I will check in later today first thing...happy, happy, happy, for that...peace Jerry (smiles and smiles) katie

See, none of us have a clue. Doesn't it feel good knowing we're not alone in our thoughts? I love star-gazing. What comfort they bring on a dark night, bringing in some light to our darkness.

LOL, ya if did have a clue then it would be no fun learning LOL, kinda like playing a game knowing all the clues ahead of time huh? ya it sure does feel good to know we are all connected, has a warm fuzziness feeling :) I like star gazing too, and when I lived in the city it wasn't easy to do at all. that's what's nice about being out a ways. A little lonely at times but well worth it in the long run.
Thanks for taking the time MA, always love the talk...katie :)

I loved it! i can really relate, well sort of..

LOL..well I guess it kinda means that at times in a sense the beauty of nature can disguise our loneliness for a while?
maybe capture an essence of it? thanks for reading...take care...katie :)

Thats right, im back! And im back to ramble EVEN MORE about my theory of Time Compression that i thought of while probably drunk and leaning over a toilet... but that is a moment too..... im so sorry... i have no idea what the purpose of me saying that was.... xD

Firstly, forgive me Katie. I haven't visited you in a while and i have neglected your work. I havent noticed this piece until now. The summary and the title gave hints to me that it had something to do with my series. So i quickly rushed in to read. Yeah in on of my pieces i referred to the sun covering the darkness as opposed to your stars covering the darkness.

We truly get lost when we watch things that are more beautiful than ourselves. Like nature. You are a good example though to how we can hide our lonliness. But i mean that in a good way!!! You are an encouraging person and always brighten the mood with your smile. We dont know if you are having problems in reality but we know that you smile to raise the spirits of all of us here.

"When we think too much we get lost..." ironically those are the words of the voice in my head. But we need these times of airy light-headedness to reflect on the reality of things... you know... 'keeping it real' hahahaha!!!

I think we all know the answers to our own questions. Its just a matter of acting on that knowledge. We are afraid of change and failure so we just sit still without moving forward or backward. Hope times are better Katie :)

Have a wonderful day/afternoon/evening!

HEY (SMILES) ya it's been a while, but with your umptien fans now I can understand why LOL! yes your series did unspire this, it's interesting to see how underlying our outgoing emotions still lies lonliness to one degree or another. yes that weekend was a little more lonely than most I'd say. weekends seem to be the harder part of the week for me, I'm a far way from home out here, though I am very friendly and conspire with folks everywhere I go. I think that it has been a long time (over two years) sinse I've had a special friend (if you know what mean) LOL!
weather that would be a help or a hinderance I don't know LOL! maybe both LOL!

"Time Compresion" leaning over a tiolet? LOL LOL LOL!!!!
Oh I've been there...drunken time compresion; your silly ;-)

'when we think too much we get lost' ya that's for sure!!!
at times I have thought myself round and round in circles LOL!!!! but I am begining to practice breathing techniques, along with more extensive meditative practices. let's see how I keep up on it LOL!!!! change is always fought against though isn't it? why do we do that? LOL! HEY, thanks for the great comment! Good talking with you again :) be good have fun and stay outa the toilets LOL!!! see you later...katie

Me too in similar situation but I am sure GOD will guide.
Some spelling mistakes like "new" instead of Knew.

You too? yes it's weird because I know there is no reason to feel lonely, I know I am not alone, that God is with me always but I guess it is the affect of the connected conscious and humanity that we feel we are not complete.
well, a deep subject huh? Thank you for commenting; I think I owe you a read or two or three? LOL! katie :)

i liked it .....

We are all but mere humans. And even us who are of the highest mind don't know EVERYTHING. But that's what makes this world a good place to live in: Questions waiting to be answered!

Great read katie! =)

LOL, yes if we knew everything we would have no fun learning LOL! besides if you knew everything then everybody would be bothering you for all the answers LOL!
Thanks Punishment, I'm glad you liked this one :-)

Air this is deeply emotional and well written. It touches me because I have known the "stars" that "disguise the darkness." (perhaps we all have at some time in our lives?)

Oh I just love the night sky! it so tells us how vast it all is doesn't it? I guess you could say that nature envelopes our loneliness, so I think that's why I wonder sometimes why I feel lonely you know? Well, today I think I do not feel lonely (smiles) you are sweet Anna, Thankyou for your comment, katie :-)

The mind does not hold the key

or the richness of melody.

it is only from NO-MIND

you see?

Katie, i have realised one thing - One has to read your posts more than 4 times to make out the honesty inside....

Stars are indeed helping me too in this 'low' phase of mine...

ah yes, the beauty of the sky, it is there where we both lose ourseves and find ourselves at teh same time. it is so magical and mistical.
it is only from NO-MIND yes! when we stop thinking and become aware instead. it is very hard to control the lower mind but it can be done.

hahaahaha, read more that four times, lol, that's a good thing? or is my brain too wild? lol.
Thankyou Pratibha, is much appreciated ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

as I am as I am and I haven't a clue...

for now, i am not alone and would never be...
