When darkness overshadows
An empty heart aglow
Overwhelming sorrow
Swallows up the heart and soul.
The hardest thing to ever do
Is grieve for those you're closest to.
Another one can't do this for you
No matter how hard, you must get through.
Making it through is helping them too.
Thier death it wouldn't be in vain
If they could see you grow through pain.
It's hard for them when watching you
And not knowing what to do.
They try to reach out at no avail
At times they helplessly watch you wail.
Till finally drained, they drift away
This is the time they need you to pray.
Thier hearts need to be prayed for,
They need healing too.
Please make it through grief,
They're counting on you.
