Where had all the laughter gone...

smiles slip away from me...

Try to catch the laughter now

where could it be...

~

Have you caught the winters frost?..

do you miss the summer dew?...

Have you felt the cold wind blow,

blankets of blue......

~

time has almost weathered now,

gone with passion.....

I start to feel the laughter now,

it's deep attraction...

~

Scarlett blue Horizon

coldness starts to go....

Time has changed and I have too..

Do you feel the pull?...

~

Where has all the worry gone?

Deep in mazes...

Unscrambling all the tangled webs

I singHis praises...

~

Where has all the cryin' gone?

Had it ever been?...

My smile's been captured with the wind

I give it to my friends...

~

Time has opened up for me

left a trail to mend

Future holds a case for me

As time spills out again.

~

I missed this one yesterday. THis is such a pleasant read... I am shocked that no comments have been recorded as yet!! I've noticed that writers are posting like crazy but doing very little commenting lately.
This is my favorite line:

Scarlett blue Horizon
Winter starts to go....
Time has changed and I have too..
Do you feel the pull?...

Lovely work, Katie!!! Hope others read and appreciate it too!..,...Jerry

Jerry, do you really like it? I was placing down on paper with tune in my mind of "Where have all the flowers gone" OH I Love the song! anyway after posting I read and wondered about the sound of it without the tune at the same time - you know like if you love song I am sure it would not be the same if you only read the words to it LOL ???
so but anyway ya, even so it's good to know that some good feeling comes through---thanks alot sweetie*
oh, no comments? well last night was SATURDAY night LOL!!!

Wow!!!!!! Beautiful poem, Katie^_^. I love the image that this poem sent through my head. It caused me to think-- and I was lost in a world of blue winter ^_^. I didn't get all of this poem, but it's nice to have something to ponder on. I love thoughtful poems like this one:).

Awesome job, my friend!

Lot's of chocolate to you,

Ghiradelli Girl.

I agree this poem is most melodic. I really enjoyed it. I have actually been having trouble posting comments lately, seems to be some site problems??

hehe, is ok, yesterday I tried to put an 'I like it' on one and it wouldn't budge so I clicked more and it gave out about 7 'I like it's' LOL!

See what I mean? Been trying to post, comes up error and then I do multiple posts. Anyway this poem is worthy of some repeated accolades so that is OK.

(SMILES) hehe, Thankyou Anna, you are sweet! :)

Dear Katie,

I was about half way through reading, when the music came to me. I had to laugh when I read your first comment. No doubt, we have similar taste in music. As others have suggested, this would be a great song in its own right.

As you probably know "...Flowers Gone" was written as an aniti-war song during The U.S. occupatioin on Viet Nam. (Written by Pete Seeger; Charted by Peter, Paul and Mary.) Perhaps we need a few more songs like this, in our current place on the time-line. Check out Jack Johnson's "Sleep Through the Static" if you're interested.

As ever, I LIKE IT.
