Tryin to love someone that aint lovein you
tryin to stay faithful while whishin they'd be true
Tyrin to erase the pain and the sorrow
tryin to look on for a better day tomorrow
Tryin to hide the endless tears
tryin to forget all those hard long years
Tryin to turn the darkness into day
tryin to escape when there is no way
Afraid to stand up and the truth and be bold
Afraid of the other lies that could possibly be told
Afraid to walk out and be in the light
Afraid that you might be cast out, back into the night
Afraid it could be true, you'd be happy at last
Afraid you just mgiht be able to erase your dark past
Afraid of the trouble you might cause once you're free
Afraid of the person you might turn out to be
It's time that you rise, be bold
and let your light shine
leave everything in the
past that is dark behind
Stand up be stong
be bold and true
You're not living your life
for someone else
you're living it for you
