Amidst Reality

Poetry By: Akyra Thalassa
Poetry

My deeper thoughts and perceptions. Some simplicities of darkness. I needed to get this out of my system.

Amidst the troubled mind,
Truth grow into lies.
Values get redefined,
And confusion does arise.

Amidst the aching heart,
Bravery will get you hurt.
Where does the healing start,
When the core of you is dirt?

Amidst the breathless soul,
Emptiness can only grow.
Voids encase you to your whole,
Those who've been do know.

Amidst the broken life,
Pain and happiness are alike.
When you're living on the knife,
You're penetrated with each strike.

Gloomy mist and thick shadow will lull you into sleep.
And to some demon you will be a puppet, tool and slave.
As a creature with no purpose all one can do is weep.
All you can do, until one day you accept your bed a grave.
