What do you do when you can't say "no"?

Here you are, knocking on my windowpane
while the rest of the world sleeps.
I think you come to me because I'm the only one
stupid enough to let you in.

You're back tonight...
always craving more of what you shouldn't have.
But quite honestly--
(and we are always honest)
would I ever resist you?
You've come back tonight,
BEGGING to be let in.
And the look in your eyes
says you're lying.

Your past is tattered
and littered with
hopes of being
what you always knew you'd never be.
So you practice for your dream
by decieving all around you--
and you're back tonight
unable to stay away from the lie
that keeps you awake.

When will she find out?

What city is this?
You call it Toledo,
but really, it's the town that bears your lies.
Something here created a reason for your deception.
A woman that you "never loved"
has created a past with you in it.

"How does that feel, baby?"

You talk of memphis,
of a home where she is not.
How fast and how far must you run to escape her;
to escape yourself?

Where are you going,
and why do you run?
You've come back AGAIN,
forever condemned to return to your past,
and the dream that will never be.
