On a day like the one you had back then
Earth blew my way an unfortunate circumstance
Frantically I caught it and held on to it
Only to find out that it was pure worthless
Unfortunately it brought me no good luck
And to make matters worse... Things got bad
Finally I led away my new friend
It seemed content enough in the forest
And so I snuck away treading quietly
Passed the cozy tree nestled by coincidence
Where the wind blows warm in summer
And cold at other times
It has been eons since I've seen my catch
As Mother Earth cries or paints her canvass
I remember my unfortunate circumstance
The times it shared with me
I walk that same hoed road now every day
Like the one you had back then
In hopes that Earth will again reacquaint me
With a most unfortunate friend
