"A to Z" -- A Poem by Alex Sharpe
Another whole day gone by.

Before I could even tell you goodbye.

Creating memories I won't soon forget.

Dealing with questions like do you regret.

Every time I see your face it makes me feel with joy.

Feeling every emotion, like back to when I was a little boy.

Getting up early in the morning for school.

Holidays I would get the day off and play all day long.

I see the day when I will grow strong and sing you this song.

Just keep telling me that we will win the fight.

Keep telling me that we are both right.

Leaving at the first sign of dawn's light.

Make me get up in the morning to jog.

Never forgetting a memories log.

Over the bridge and through the fog.

Pieces of nature roll down the river.

Quails and Hawks fly and a' quiver.

Rusty old pieces of metal stuck in the leather.

Sour words and continuous lying.

These are the things that keep us together.

Unheard of stories and made up quarries.

Viruses and plagues may wreak havoc on the day.

Without a good since they wither away.

X-is a letter in which I hope we never have in front of either of our names.

You are the reason I have my shame.

Zoos and movies, dates and smoothies -- and hundreds of zeros.

These are the things that keep us together.
