"The Southwest" -- A Poem by Alex Sharpe

--(Dedicated to Judith Brown)--

Oh, how magical you are.

How beautiful your dusts and sands blow across your wide open grounds -- without even the sound of a car.

Oh, I wish I could be with you constantly, but, how sad it is that I live so far away -- I will just have to come meet you some other day.

You are my favorite of all, and so beautiful you make me fall. Your mystical silence is so pure, it is almost a natural cure.

Oh, how beautiful you are --- the American South-West.
