The sunlight shines through the window. shining on the purple tips of my nails. fear clutches at my heart, While my pencil glides across paper, Forming words to empty my mind. Can you read between the lines? Scattered. Thoughts. Taking. Control. Trying to run smoothly together, running off the tongue in a foreign language. Hear the raw emotion, but pretend not to notice. No one likes to listen, when things get serious. We all pretend to laugh, Smile through the hurt that stabs like a knife. Like a bullet being shot, we have no time to react. I don't remember hurting. One day, I woke up and it was just there. At first it was a small buzz, And now it drums to my heartbeat. Getting louder with each moment. Until suddenly... Silence.
