What is this sight that I see
My eyes betray me. no; a dream.
A silhouette of a woman free
Standing below a cherry tree.
I beg my approach while I can
But the moon has planned a different plan
And I wish to run but only stand
And paralyzed I raise my hand
I yell to her but no sound
And I fall knees to the ground
And whispering I look around
To see if a solution could be found.
With all my earthly might
I try to stand I try to fight
So I can try to make things right
And drink in her beauty to my sight.
Then my anger quickly dies
As I looked and felt a nice surprise
The sight I took in with my eyes
Was deep blue ocean in the skies.
The birds had all but taken wing
And now I heard it heard her sing
Familiar and that’s the thing
Within my head her voice would ring.
Just as fast as it did start
I heard the beating of my heart
My plans to approach morn did thwart
But next time I will play my part.
Next time I will be there you see
To drink her celestial beauty
In that meadow with her I’ll be
Standing beneath the cherry tree.
