You are a rose

Poetry By: Alezae
Poetry

This is about one of my friends (who i will not name) who thinks being perfect is all about looks. I just want her to know it's not and that perfect is not a word. Its a wish, a desire that noone has ever obtained.

You are beautiful in everyway, i wish you could only see.

Your eyes are like diamonds, sparkling in a bed of quartz.

Your skin is so chalky, so perfectly clear makes you look like an angel.

But you smother yourself in colours so bright, i forget who you really are.

Are you trying to make yourself stand out like red in a sea of white, because i love you just the same.

Why do you think your more pretty, if you fake what you really look like?

Because your born you and EMBRACE it, before god turns out your light.

Your like a rose in a sea of wilted flowers, your still beautiful and so grand.

But your making it out that your a daffodil, and trust me i dont understand.

Just be who you are, not what you think will make boys turn to stare.

If they dont love you for what you truly are, there not worth the tears.

Who cares if you have freckles, your not a barbie doll. Please stop acting like you need to perfect

No one has obtained that wish, stop acting like a daffodil my bestfriend, you are a rose.....

Yes i mean it, you are a rose.
