A Spider's Ballet

Gracefully falling from the sky,
Silk thread spun with care,
Climbing up and twirling about,
Performing a ballet,
A spider's web is born,
So lovely but soon to be torn.

Random First Lines: “Hello” someone scream through the front door of my apartment. I turn my head and moan in pain.... : Romance » Read
Um okay so I was in the car on the way to Tennessee and I saw this spider in the car... normally I would freak out... but it was small and far enough away that I actually was a little entranced by it.
I came up with this short poem in my head for what I saw. Just wanted to write about it since I was oddly mesmerized by something that I usually despise o.O hahaha
This is my first poem that I didn't handwrite first... feels weird...
And also I think this is my shortest poem ever! After all, you can't come up with something too long or else you'll forget it after a 10 hour drive. haha.
Please do enjoy :)
Its extremely simple. Nothing fancy.

Oh, that's real cute. xD
Never mind if it's short. Haikus are even much shorter. :-)
How attentive you were to such small creature, lil sis! I think you were watching the spider's every move in slow motion. ^^ I'm glad you didn't get yourself tangled in the web. lol

My angel,
as delicate as silk threads and spider dances
eventually, it is destroyed.
Either man,
Or wind.
Natural or human-caused,
The innocent and weak is always abused.
Such a heavy poem, my angel.
Take care :)

That was really great! I can't believe you just came up with that in your head! *sniffles* I'm so proud! lol. I loved it! When I read the poem I knew exactly what you were talking about, I wouldn't need the summary or the title to tell me.
You did such a good job I love it so much!!!

Gosh, cute and sad at the same time...made me sad for because it's web is soon to be torn...
Are u not like it??
We spin webs around us and take in all our friends and make a comfortable zone around us and if anything ( God forbid) happens unplanned, we get shattered....i guess like the spider, we should start all over again...
Awesome read Alice...Thank you so much for sharing this buddy...

a lovely little poem Alice. I think we all see life as a spiders web; we get caught, sometimes so caught up in things that we don't see the bigger picture. Thanx for sharing your thought, that's hat poetry is!!
