A bit of free thinking on our current political situation here in the U.S.

A swirling thought

Pit of my stomach sinking

The same arguments repeat

While the centrifuges reportedly spin

Citizens die as citizens

Our rights dissolve

Privacy made public

Stalked from above

Two faces

Not three

Not four

Not more

Just two

The choice is stark

But not a choice

The debate is here, but the question not asked

The heartless answers, the shallow promises

For a nation wavering

Broken and scared

While an election ship finds cables tied

All I feel is disgust
