Fragments (Crooked Mirror)

Poetry By: AmandaBrookeWrites

A poem about being born broken but the world tends to make it worse and all of a sudden you're shattered; you've become a fragment of a crooked mirror.

Like a mirror shattered,

A body bruised and battered.

She's broken into bits and pieces

Like shards of glass but without any ceases

She's never been whole; she's incomplete

Tries to play the perfect role; tries to be less concrete

She desires to be noticed beyond what you see

So she gives a piece of her to everyone she meets

A fragment of what she once was at birth

Thinking when she's gone, she'll find her worth

A masterpiece is more famous when the master is dead

Surely, she'll be known by the pieces she has fed

Perhaps, she had never been put together

Like fragments of a crooked mirror

Depending on which shard you own

She has a personality to be known

A body bruised and battered

Like a mirror shattered
