If there was something I could say,
If there was something I could do,
Then I would say what needed saying,
And I would do what I could.

As it is I’m trying my best,
To smooth this ongoing conflict,
My title of pacemaker is worn thin,
I am doing everything I can.

It’s not my fault this way began,
All I can do is try to stop it,
I have no supernatural powers in my grasp,
I have nothing but my own stone mask.

As it is I’m trying my best,
To get us past this,
My title of healer is almost not true,
But I do the best I can ever do.

If there was something I could do or say,
If there was some possible way,
To end this quickly, to end it now,
But how am I supposed to do that, how?

I try my best, that’s all I can give,
I try my best, that’s all there is,
I help the wounded and hold the hopes,
Of everyone I’ve ever known.

Hard being in the middle, isn't it?
Blessed are the peacemakers.

Author Comment:

Yes, I've tried to resolve arguments and things before, for example arguments between friends, but it's really hard. I think that peace is something to strive for, and I know you can't always get along with other people, but I try my best to promote peace over conflict. I rock. :D

Thanks for reading and commenting!!! You rock too. :-)
