Deck the Halls, My Way

Poetry By: Amity Willows
Poetry

While listening to "Deck the Halls", a pretty Christmas song, i wrote down the lyrics as I heard them. Exactly as I heard them. At points it's wacky, at points it's funny, and at other points it simply makes no sense, but I hope you enjoy my version of "Deck the Halls".

Deck the halls with boughs of folly,
Lalalalala lala la la
Tis the season to be jolly,
Falalala lala la
Buying now our gay apparel,
Falala la la la
Toads the ancient yuletide carol,
Falalala la la la la
See the blazing you before us,
Alalala la la la la
Strike the harp men, join the chorus,
Falalalla la la la la
Hollow me in berry measure,
Falalala la la la laaaa
Buy our tale of yuletide pleasure,
Falallal la la la la

Bask away the old deer passes,
Falalla la la la la la
Hail the newbie lads and lasses,
Falalala la la la
See us joyous all together,
Fallalal la la la
Feed the soft blown wind and weather,
Fallalala la la la la,
La la la la la laaaaaaaaaaaaaa
