Far from the shore
My peaceful shore
Where I spent the days listening
To the lapping waters
Far from my shore
My dear lovely shore
Where I spent the day singing
With the seagulls joining in
I am far from my shore
Where I and my brothers
Would spend the day fishing
Hardly ever catching a thing
I long for my shore
For my long forsaken cottage
For my mothers rocking chair
For her gentle arms around me
Oh how I long for my shore
For my home
For my family
Oh how I long for my life
Of love and laughter
