I might as well be deaf,
For I can’t understand you,
Not one word you are saying.
I might as well be blind,
For I can never truly see,
No matter how hard I try.
I might as well be mute,
For no matter what I say,
It always comes out so wrong.
I might as well be gone,
You never seem to notice me,
No matter what I do.
I might as well be dumb,
For you seem to think I am,
No matter what my grades.
I might as well leave,
You might be happier,
Once I’m forever gone.
