Hatred feeds the monster inside,
The evil lurking, the monster of the mind,
Anger and jealousy deflect joy,
Don’t be sly, don’t be coy,
Don’t feed the monster.

Shadows lurk at the edge of your vision,
If you feed the flame they will come again,
And fill you with revenge,
Help me kill the monster.

Armed with light, deadly to the darkness,
Help me finish what we’ve started,
Help me save those who still hope,
Help me shield them from the monster.

You know we can’t save ourselves,
But we can save everyone else,
From the shadows, from the dark,
From the monsters in our hearts,
Help me finish what we’ve started.
