Nightmare Alone

Poetry By: Amity Willows

I wrote this poem about a nightmarish dragon that plagues our dreams. I was reading poetry on here and I left a suggestion for someone who wanted to know how they could add on to their poem, and I turned a few random suggestions into a full poem. I hope you enjoy it!

Nightmare Alone

Ebony wings and fiery eyes,
Old of age yet wise, so wise,
A soul as dark or darker then night,
A majestic creature of rage, hate and spite.

Shadow dragon which haunts my dreams,
And steals from me nightmarish screams,
Creature of hate lives forever untamed,
Creature of darkness, denied a name.

Wings when spread blot out the sun,
Eyes which reflect what we have become,
A burning fire within it's lungs,
We have created this nightmare alone.
