Why is it that the only things,
We ever get to see on TV,
Are always depressing,
And never happy?

Where are the babies,
That survived birth,
Where are the people,
Who survived cancer?

Why do we only,
See sad or boring,
Tanks and gunfire,
Or tired weathermen?

I’m so sick of,
All these things,
That we are forced,
To watch on TV.

Pompous men,
In suits to small,
Promising change,
Doing nothing at all.

People shot dead,
In their homes,
Electrocution,
By telephone.

Come one people,
Mix it up,
Show us the good,
Show us it all.

Show us the happy,
As well as the sad,
Show us the hopeful,
Not just the bad.
