I felt that I was living,
A lie but then was given,
Another chance in life.
I walked in the rain,
It washed my cares away,
Now I’m free to live.
I fought with my friends,
Made up time and time again,
Until I set things straight.
I got bossed around,
Felt like a stranger in my own town,
Till I took my life into my hands.
I told my family,
The truth and it set me free,
I told them everything.
I told them I was me,
And would continue to be,
No matter what they said.
I said I wouldn’t be a clone,
Even if that meant I’d be alone,
Now I have some real friends.
I lived my life for myself,
Instead of giving it to somebody else,
Now I’m truly free, and I’m truly me.
