In my mind, you’re across the world and I know the days won’t end
Where I will no longer think of you, think of you my friend
The journey is long on the road of love
And no one knows the future
But forward is not where I now go
Still trying to get through without you
Loving you, oh loving you, move me through this fast
To a day without pain nor memories, of a wistful, distant past
For what kind of life is living
when you can’t seem to move beyond giving?
And love has no recourse than to die
when unreturned and lost swimming
In an ocean divided between then and now
Please bring me back to the shore
So I can stand firmly on this salty earth
and walk away, mé amore
