Mars Vs Venus

So temptingly sweet
is the Apple of Amunet,
precariously perched
upon the parapet.

Silky seeds displayed
for all the Gods to see
what lonesome lovers long for
in wispy symmetry.

Ancient alabaster reeds
faintly sing a sacred song,
strains of foggy forgotten need
of mysteries long gone.

Pyramids are splayed
in tripartite perfection
deprived of stately
stars sadly bemoan
fortunes' reflection...

Of doom...
eerily shone
and
deathly still,
beneath the old,
cold...
serenading moon
and
always will...

When Venus
wars
with Mars.
