Do you remember...Mother?
That day I came home,
and you were gone.
I searched every damn inch of that house.
But I found no note.
No explanation for why....you were missing.
For the briefest of moments,
I believed you would be back.
But after an hour and still no you...
some how I just knew,
that you had gone for good this time.
It was kind of obvious,
I mean the way your bedroom....
was in shambles,
and all your suitcases missing.
I don't know why,
I didn't see the fact immediatly.
I guess I just wanted
To believe for once
that you really loved me.
I guess that wasn't your plan,
cause you left me...
high and dry.
With no where to go and nothing to smile 'bout.
Your name chanting in my head,
like one of those senseless children's rhymes....
I used to wish you'd read to me.
