Through my young days I had get up and go
But then it left
Yet I was happy as could be
My get up and go went everywhere
As I got older my eyes were dim and I
Would think, did I do everything
But I remember as I got older
We have to try to learn not to forget
When I was young I could dance all night
As I got older I still had some kick
I kept on going
Until I remembered I could still dance all night
Now I'm older I have a hard time going anywhere
I no longer have my get up and go
It left me so alone
So my youth is gone I miss it
It doesn't seem to matter
I had a good life
My get up and go went everywhere
And it left me alone
