Quiet, gentle rain ....Rain fell last night
Against my window pane it tapped
Back from troubled sleep it called
Too numb to weep to sooth a ![]()
To deep and real was my loneliness
Would not heal like a wound
I know, it throbbed within me
Without you my arms were empty
To the sound I listened
Falling on the ground was soft rain
Tender and clear I heard your voice
Oh my dear, You called my name
Opened wide I threw my window
Sweet rain rushed inside
My hair, my eyes, my lips, it kissed
I knew you was there, my love
My
could not release my tears
Bringing Peace from Heaven it fell down
While gray clouds softly wept last night
In your arms you held me and I slept
