What if the sky was dark
The sun did not shine
The moon did not guide us
The stars lost their shine
What if the ship did not sail
The bird did not fly
Songs were not sung
There was no prom
What if there was no grass
No shoes for our feet
No home to live in
No place to belong
What if there was no you
No me at all
No us
No you and I
What if there was no world
We were never born
No plants no water
Nothing but a little air
What would we all think
Would there be something
We would try
Or just leave it alone
What if there was no other day
Not another night
No more time
What could we do?
