Everyone is watching us, as we speak rueful words
We'll soon lament.
But don't worry darling, when you're gone
I will not dare consign you to oblivion;
Rather I will remember the golden days,
That were as bright as the luminescent sky,
When all we ever thought about,
Was each other:
A legacy of Memories it was.

This departure causes me so much agony,
Like I know it does for you too.
After all, our souls are connected, and
If separated, it will be as if we were separating
The sun from the sky.

Tomorrow we will no longer be in the other's
Presence,
You will be about a thousand miles yonder,
Still, I will make it seem as if you are here,
With me;
Because in fact you really are, in heart and soul.

Yet the thought that I won't see you in a long time,
Brings intolerable pain,
Though withdraw from that foreboding pain I will not do,
For it will only make me indomitable.

I know we will encounter difficulties--
Difficulties beyond what we're used to,
That may even try to tear us apart.
Regardless, I will be here awaiting your return.

And I will comfort myself in knowing,
There is nothing more pure and glowing than
The moment of farewell and meeting.
And though we will not meet for a very long time,
I can still hope,
So until then:
Farewell...

I am waiting...

(which is pretty much the whole last stanza) were my favorite lines. You have grown so much with your writting and I am honored to have witnessed it:P I will never forget your words. You are an amazing writter and will go far with it.:P Brilliant poem!

Wow. That was fast. Lol. I swear I just posted it. Anyway, Thank you Steph. :) I really appreciate the time you take to read my poems. I will never forget it.

First of all, the quote in summary is unbelievably true... like... wow. I've experienced the meaning of that quote not too long ago and when I read this poem, I felt I could connect with it completely.

This is a gem - not the brightest gem of yours - but nevertheless still a gem. I thought it was beautifully written and you created some fantastic lines. I tried to look for a story behind it, but when reading it I could only see my story in it. I guess it just reached me that much on a personal level.
Fabulous work Angela!
Keep it up :)

Yeah.. I know this one wasn't as great as some of my other ones. I tried to focus when I was writing this, but it's really hot where I live right now, and I couldn't concentrate. I will probably do revisions... today actually. If the weather gets better that is. Thanks for reading. :)

Diz iz sssssssoooooooo romantic and sad.

Yeah, I was in a very sentimental mood today. I don't know why that is, maybe I'm experiencing some sort of epiphany, because I feel different and I don't know why that is. It's like I discovered something that completely changed what I'm about. I don't know if that's good or not, but It feels good :) Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it.

Aww, this is so sweet!!
Very passionate and full of hope!
Thank you for sharing it!
