Candle Stick Life

On top of the cupboard,

I have the view of the world.

The view of my world.

The kitchen with the yellow walls

The table with the brown wooden legs.

This is my home.

Every night I feel the shocking heat on my head,

That lasts for hours on end.

It does not bother me,

I am used to it.

So what am I sitting on top of the cup board,

Looking over my world?

Feeling a shocking heat every night

For hours on end?

Why I am a candlestick.
