ANGEL OF THE NIGHT
She stands there waiting patiently,
where darkness meets the light.
My eyes beheld this miracle,
this angel of the night.
*
She held a golden lantern,
so securely in her hand.
Collecting lost and lonely souls,
drawn to her command.
*
I felt her pulling at my soul,
as she held the lantern near.
Compassion fell from her eyes,
as she told me not to fear.
*
I am here to guide you,
seems you have lost your way.
I'm of a gentle spirit,
please listen to what i say.
*
I was sent to find you,
now follow lanterns glow.
Take your place beside me,
and rest your weary soul.
*
I took my place among the rest,
and held to her so tight.
She took our souls to heavens gate,
this angel of the night.
