BATTLE SCARS
She hides in her room most of the day
still sore from the night before
Knowing his mood could easily change
she cant take the blows no more
She holds tightly to her tear stained pillow
hoping soon he would fall asleep
The liquor finally took control
as the knife sank in so deep
She thought about it long and hard
too scared to take the plunge
She`ll forever carry battle scares
but at least her victories won
