You were so very tiny

when I gave birth to you

Your dad was so excited

when the nurse told him the news

as he proudly paced the floor

But it dont compare to how I felt

when they brought you through the door

As the joy overwhelmed me

I thought back to my younger years

How I had hurt my mom and dad

causing them so many tears
