I Wonder How It Feels To Fly
Standing at the edge of here and there
on the threshold of all her pain,
She wonders how it feels to fly
against the pouring rain.
~*~
She's all alone and scared to death
there's no-one left to love her,
so she pretends to spead her wings
to soar away just like a bird.
~*~
She's lived a sad and battered life
abused and thrown away,
decaying in her little shell
another angel will fall today.
~*~
And so she takes a sudden leap
for a moment she is flying,
she doesn't wonder anymore,
and she's no longer crying.
~*~
An empty room, a shell below
a baby bird has flown,
into the arms of heaven
far from all the pain she's known.
