MIDNIGHTÂ BRIDE
Shadows fell against the night
midnight nearly gone
She wonders through the corridors
afraid and all alone
***
Does she not realize
the sun is creeping in
Mourning for her mortal life
the rays burn her ivory skin
***
Bitten but not forgotten
he'll return to claim his bride
And so she bows her head and cries
in the darkness she will hide
***
Her neck is sore from passion
that claimed her beating heart
She takes her place in shadows
and waits for her hunger to start
***
Accepting what she's become
she drinks till satisfied
Then as the sun takes control
She shall sleep this midnight bride
***
