Momma Is An Angel Submission to Summer Poetry Writing Contest- By Angellynn I remember mommas last breath before she passed away, when she pleaded with you Lord to bless her final day. ~*~ Finding strength in her sickness though each breath could be her last, she held tightly to her Bible I remember what momma ask. ~*~ "Lord, bless all my children and keep them safe for me, help them through this sorrow give them peace, will you please." ~*~ As I prayed with momma knowing soon she would be gone, she took my hand and held it I could feel her passing on. ~*~ But it wasn't sorrow that I felt It was peace and serenity, what ever flowed through momma flowed to the heart of me. ~*~ Then there was silence in the room as I slowly opened my eyes, I saw an angel take my momma but I wasn't at all surprised. ~*~ To me, momma's always been an angel sent here to care for me, and one day I will see her where she was always mean't to be. ~*~ Angellynn~
