MY FRIEND TEDDY

Poetry By: angellynn
Poetry

Parents get so caught up in disagreements. They dont realize the pain a child feels. Carefully listening to the words exchanged. Children take it very seriously.

My Friend Teddy

I sit and listen to them fight

they call each other names

I find a place for us to hide

I`m the one they blame

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hold Teddy closer to me
holding tightly as I can
I`m not scared of the dark
because I have you friend
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Are you scared I ask Teddy

cause it`s quite ok to cry

Pretending tears are falling

I wipe his button eyes

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Suddenly it grew very quiet
Teddy held to me so tight
Then mom finally found us
hiding in the dark of night
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oh honey we`re so sorry

It wont happen ever again

I smiled and softly whisper

thanks my furry friend

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
