She was just thirteen and so alone

no one to love or call her own

Tatianna was a broken child

she never laughed she never smiled

At her window for three long years

she gazed upon that tree of tears

She pictured herself hanging there

embracing death her life unfair

Her brother Tito her own twin

had passed away when they were ten

He's lay to rest beneath that tree

in a shallow grave for eternity

She longed to see him once again

she lived in fear she lived in pain

As she mourned upon his stone

she heard him crying there alone

In the darkness he was so afraid

he didn't know it was his grave

From the depths he called to her

not in a whisper not in a word

But in her heart she felt him say

why did you have to go away

I didn't leave I promise you

then realized what she must do

Through the branches against the moon

she whispered I am coming soon

So from that tree she hangs above

an ornament of a siblings love
