POCKET CHANGE
Her hand reaches out
her despairs at its peak
Her stomach is empty
shes so very weak
***
Her hand is shaking
the change falls away
As she picks them up
she hears someone say
***
Its not our fault
we're not to blame
Look at her beg
Its really a shame
***
Her husbands disabled
shes sick all the time
Her children are hungry
cant you please spare a dime
***
Pocket change
thats all it takes
You'll never miss it
and what a difference it makes
***
When you reach out to her
do it with heart
Reach deep in your pocket
and give her a new start
***
