Special Angel

I was in darkness

each road led nowhere

my friends had all left me

nobody cared

It was such a long journey

with no end in sight

til I turned a corner

and I saw the light

It was warm and so brilliant

a sight to behold

when I entered into it

I felt nomore cold

~~~~

The light wrapped around me

like a blanket I felt safe

and all was fogotten

of the road I had paved

~~~~

There were thousands of angels

all dressed in white

and each had a story

of their previous life

~~~~

But of all of the angels

whose stories they told

was one special angel

standing out from the fold

~~~~

I walked over closer

so I could see

and to my amazement

I saw it was me

~~~~

Then I awakened

and found it a dream

I wondered and wondered

what could this dream mean

~~~~

But now that im older

and time has gone by

I think of that dream

and I realize

~~~~

The Lord tried to reach me

by using my dreams

I understand now

just what my dream means

~~~~

Live your life to the fullest

and live for the Lord

get down on your knees

and pray from your heart

~~~~

Once hes accepted you

live for him true

you`ll find in the end

that special angel was you
