THE CHERRY WILLOW WEEPS
The cherry willow weeps upon
a bed of floral tears
Summers blooming season ends
as winter brings her fears
***
Her veil of cherry blossoms
proudly hang in pink display
She takes a bow in honor
of her amazing spray
***
The cherry willow weeps once more
and cries a final tear
In winters wind she waves goodbye
til she blooms again next year.
