The Witch On Willow Lane

There is this witch on Willow Lane,

she has no family she has no name,

she spends her time mixing brew,

its made of bats and eye of newt.

This Halloween she added more,

she made it stronger than before,

she hated children with a passion,

so she made the brew in childrens fashion.

She made it orange by adding pumpkin,

then realized she was on to something,

the brew began to smell like candy,

so she added more things that were handy.

Jelly beans and chocolate bars,

she threw in spice and sweet tarts,

when she was done she let it set,

" They'll get a treat they wont forget."

She wrapped the candy in pretty paper,

to disguise her clever caper,

In a bowl she put it all,

and waited anxiously for night to fall.

Soon the children began to pace,

up and down the lane in haste,

"trick or treat," she heard them yell,

as they rang upon her old door bell.

They reached inside her bowl of goodies,

these little witch'es, ghosts, and hoodies,

all through the night til all was gone,

the children slept with costumes on.

The children laughed too many times,

they called her names in foolish rhymes,

"trick or treat" you silly kids,

thats what you get for what you did.

On Willow Lane in every house,

the children turned into a mouse,

through the lane their screams were heard,

as the witch sat smiling not a single word.

Yes, there is a witch on Willow Lane,

and if you meet her...

Dont call her names.
