Her heart was sadly broken

when death had claimed her mate

In a long black dress she mourned him

she thought about her final fate

The sky had turned a bitter gray

clouds formed above her head

As they did within her soul

not accepting he was dead

Underneath a red umbrella

hiding sorrows blame

Thunder rolled right through her

casting down its tears of shame

It mingled with her salty tears

her attention was its goal

Soaking through her ivory skin

she stood frozen wet and cold

Then lightening flashed before her eyes

for a moment she lost sight

then on the clouds she saw him

proudly on a stead of white

Then he shot a bolt of flaming fire

her troubled thoughts had ceased

It warmed her cold and weary heart

and put her mournful pain at ease
