THEY RISE WITH

A RAY OF LIGHT, A NEW DAY, A NEW PHOENIX

BUT HOW LONG CAN THEY HOLD ON

HOW LONG CAN THEY STAY WITHOUT DRAWNING

WITHOUT SINKING DEEP UNDER DARKNESS

UNDER A WORLD WHERE THEY'LL CHOKE

IT'S ABOUT TIME, AND THERE THE DAY CAME

OUT OF BREATH OUT OF LIFE

THEY WALK UP THE BRIDGE AND LOOK BENEATH

THEY SEE NOTHING BUT SHARP DARKNESS

THEY HEAR NOTHING BUT THE SOUND OF DEATH CALLING THEM

THEY WERE SECONDS AWAY FROM REACHING THIER GRAVE

REACHING THE HEART OF THE BRIDGE

THEN BECOMING PART OF THE CEMETERY

THE ONE THAT'S THERE ON THAT BRIDGE

the path to death

BUT ONLY SEEN BY THEM AND ME
