A short poem I wrote while my English Teacher was in hospital. I thought I should keep up my work for him.

The Family Tree Will
Never Last Forever

Shining bright, set alight, the candle lit the way,
Amongst all the bitter tears,
the sunlight started to fray,

Until the flame burns through the night,
please refrain to see,
That until the morning sun wakes up,
the eagle won't be free,

Please don't forget, we live as one,
united we can be,
Once and for all, within the brawl,
we're one big family tree.

The eagle sets flight, away from the night,
no one can be afraid,
When overhead, the eagle spreads,
and protects us with his jade,

Jade are his eyes, pondering with thought,
he guides the spirits home,
They no longer belong on this earth,
and the eagle knows his role,

Now you see, we can believe,
that we lie on the end of his feather,
As we all know, the family tree,
will never last forever.
