Thank you for being my friend

Poetry By: Angie Blake

This is one of the poems I submitted for Blue Mountain Cards. It needs some work, I think, but, I like it. Please tell me if it's original or not.

If I wanted to cry you'd offer me your
shoulder to lean on,
an ear to listen and your talent to
never judge me.

If I was angry you'd let me rant,
rave sometimes and even scream,
You'd listen to me with an open mind
and offer your talent to never say how selfish I was being.

Sometimes my choices have not always been the best,
You let me make my excuses but you never call me stupid
and you offer your talent of never saying I told you so.

Thank you for never judging me, for never saying I was selfish.
Or for never saying I told you so
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy life to make me feel better.
To listen to me cry, rant and rave and sometimes even scream
Thank you for offering your skillful talents of knowing that sometimes
saying nothing at all is exactly what I need.
